2020: Year in Review

2020 was quite the year. Rebel Road Creative not only survived, but thrived. Revenue increased by 25% as I branched out into other market sectors such as technology, finance and nonprofits. My work shifted as stay safe at home persists, and content writing became my core offering.

Most of June was spent researching creativity and its impact on productivity and wellness. No matter how small, I aim to complete a creative project every day. It’s fun, and the activity gives me a boost. Embracing creativity also helps cope with the uncertainties we all endure during these strange days.

Even in lockdown, I continue to uncover ideas inspired from the art world. My heart-felt appreciation goes out to the Phillips Collection and the Hirshhorn for the quality creative programming they produced this year. In closing, I’m linking to A Message from Yayoi Kusama to the Whole World (from the Hirshhorn’s website.) Kusama is one of my favorite artists. I was lucky enough to see her blockbuster Infinity Mirrors exhibit three times in 2017. Rebel Road Creative was just a vague notion back then, but I was galvanized by Kusama’s work to forge my own path.
